Surviving Stress

There is a six letter word that is no respecter of persons; race, religion, age or gender.
This noun and sometimes verb has the might to mold the boldest of warriors and break the weakest of men.
One must bear its burden either following its path to the right or to the left; if taking the right path valuables more precious than gold await you.
Its name is stress, and its daggers are brutal, but if one survives, a battle has been won.

Welcome fellow bloggers to Surviving Stress!
I chose this theme simply because of one thing; how I feel my life is going right now. This summer has been hectic, a time when many have the opportunity to relax and enjoy one or several vacations; I have been busy as if it were a full scheduled fall or spring semester. Stressful emotions have come, gone, and continue to visit me, no matter how rude my welcome.  I understand that stress is no respecter of persons and possibly every human being on earth has endured its pierce.  I believe these poems will help not only myself, but also you, my viewers, to learn how to survive its pang.  There is an old saying that declares "people parish for the lack of knowledge," so through my chosen poems you will learn how stress exists in different forms, and then maybe once identified we can continue the life journey in tackling this beast.  The following poems are separated into three categories: definition, defeated (left path), and survival (right path)

Definition- These worded pieces of art capture the different forms of stress.  In order to combat any enemy, one must know and be well versed in their habits and attack formations.  Poems listed in this category do just that, they teach the naive or remind the experienced how stress harasses its victim.  One poem might be relatable and others may not, but do not be fooled of stress' conniving ways.

Defeated (left path)- This category captures fervent emotions of what one could feel like when allowing this intangible force to steer you in the wrong direction.  Down this path unbearable feelings of despair haunt and demean you.  Causing one to feel as if there is no hope, and possibly give up.  These poems demonstrate the reality of what could happen if one continues down this path allowing this enemy to shoot arrows, while you are unwilling to hold up a shield.

Survival (right path)- Poems chosen for this specific sort capture strong emotions of having to deal with stress, simultaneously showing how to handle and overcome the harsh beatings in the midst of the battle.  These poems are blunt yet encouraging for they admit the hurt yet shows readers how to survive the pain.

I recommend that you read the poems in any order that pertains to your life at the moment. One may need to begin with defeated and end with survival; whichever your fancy. Do not take the poems lightly for stress is real and can really cause a person to take either the road of life or death if one does not stay on watch and tread carefully. My goal is to help each other overcome this beast whenever, however, and how many times ever it attacks.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I truly appreciate your interest, and hope you learn how to survive stress.
